LOVE

Love rarely comes barging in ,
thrusting itself onto us.

In life, love isn't pressupposed.
In truth, what currently holds us together
is inertia rather than love.

What I mean to say is this:
love is always a possibility,
but we must choose it,
it cannot be given to us.
Yes it can be offered us, and it is,
and we may and must
choose to accept it.
Love cannot be forced upon us.

There can only be a lack of love.
Love feels good. True love feels like bliss.
The lack of love comprises
all the sorrows we can imagine.

And more than not being able to reach it,
it is a matter of not being open to it,
of shielding ourselves fromt it,
by any means, in any disguises:

fear, pride, reason, despair... all of it.

Love is the trait of the mature human being.

One needn't mature with the mere pass of time,
one must choose to learn and evolve.

And the direction of that learning is love.

For what else may be at the other end of
pain, sorrow, anger, depression, apathy?

What do we arrive at
as we transcend our conditioning?

When we depart from love
we depart from our essence,
we depart from ourselves.

In that separation there is pain.
In that separation there is conflict.

I don't know of any other explanation that makes sense.

Life may be sustained by food,
but life-force is sustained
and enhanced only by love.

There's no way around it,
love is at the center of it all.

Some will rather death before confronting love,
will rather existing rather than living,
and that is their choice.

But is it yours?
You've already chosen,
but you can choose again if you wish.

All things converge toward and emerge from love.

There is no other that needs seeking,
no higher that needs comprehending.

Just boundless, unconditional love.

We humans have a real hard time getting this.
It is much beyond our capacity. But not quite.

And that single spark that we humans hold
is enough to burst into flame,
and light an infinite fire.

Of love, that is.

All the teachings point toward it,
all our yearnings are for it,
all the songs and poems are about it,
all existence is because of it.

If it seems alien to us
it means we have yet a long way to go.

Love is a choice, not a given.

That wherever there is created conflict,
either personal or collective,
it is because of a lack of love, fundamentally.

That someday all will see for themselves,
and recognise it as the one driving force.

When we align with it, miracles can happen.

We are going in love's direction
and we don't even know it yet,
and all the tests that are presented
are to purify our intention for it.

This is a matter of the absolute.

Each and every one of us
chooses their relation with it.

And each must choose for themselves,
not to give away their power.

Love is life at its core.

Life aware and in love with itself.

Or even more perhaps.

This is the only point worth making,
this is the only expression worth uttering.

Love, that is.

We know life through love,
and its essence we may call divine.

We're like an ant in a universe of love,
most of the time we toil and fight,
and pray and die quite unaware
of the true nature of existence.

What is to be done in this life
but strive to express love most completely?

So yes, love is the final answer.

Where love isn't present there is suffering.

There's really no much point arguing.

You're love is not different from my love,
and that is quite revealing.

And it is hard to accept, I know,
because it contradicts our experience,
and education, and the whole known human history.

But there's a chance for love.

If there was ever one, now is the chance.

There is a way for us only if we embrace love.

And I'm not talking hippie love necessarily.
Love can be tough, can be brutally honest.
And this in turn is always in service
of learning, of truth, of love.

I may not be the perfect messenger
(I'm still working on it)
but I damn well know this is the perfect message.

So yes, love is the only message,
the only truth to our existence.

It is what we've all been waiting for, isn't it?
But for most part we've prayed on our knees
for it to be given to us, isn't it so?

That's not how it works, I'm afraid.

As human beings we contain love,
and have the capacity to create and express love.

By all means we must do so,
in whatever particular form
it comes within us.

Having that as our core and our guide,
we cannot be mistaken.

We have a choice to make.

To choose where we're at,
where we're coming from,
we might as well choose love.

To choose where we're going,
and right now we either obliterate eachother
or choose to come together as one.

It would be a disservice to you
if I didn't tell you this.

Because I wish us well,
I feel this as my responsibility.

This is no carrot I'm dangling in front of you,
this is the real deal as far as I can tell.

So yes; love, love.

Love is life's substance, life's destiny,
life's reason, life's everything!

Love is always by our side,
we simply have to let it in.
