THE GAZE THAT BEFALLS HER

The gaze that befalls her
is often a demanding one.
The gaze that befalls her
is often inconsiderate,
a self-pleasing one.

She must know it is afraid.
She must know it is ripe with folly.
She must know that it is from insecurity
that agression is enacted upon her.

It is weakness that seeks
to create weakness upon her.

This is a society of the immature man, the man-child,
the broken, the unhealed, the immature, the incomplete man.

That is a great source of pain and shame,
which in ignorance is pojected upon her.

It is not her fault.
And she must not tolerate it any longer.

It is the man-child's responsibility to acknowledge his mistake,
and to seek a higher ground to stand on.

It is not her task to try and reform him.

He is the one who must get a hold of himself.

We must all seek re-union.
Perhaps in going our separate ways,
but not fighting eachother anymore.
Not scared of eachother anymore.
Not to pretend love while in distrust.

Let there be love or silence.
Let there be growth
where growth may be found.

With patience but without delay,
someday the gaze that befalls her
will be one of great respect,
and of a maturity that will surprise her.
